From July 8th to 12th, a recruitment delegation from our institute visited the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to hold informational sessions. The delegation was composed of Professor Hong Minghui, Dean of the Institute, Vice Dean Wang Min, Personnel Secretary Qiu Yuan, as well as Professors Sun Daoheng, Hou Liang, Zhu Qingyuan, Zheng Gaofeng, and Senior Engineer Zhou Rui, who were in Singapore for academic exchanges and also participated in the recruitment activities.
Dean Hong Minghui introduced the historical evolution and current status of Xiamen University to the young scholars in attendance, showcasing the development history, faculty size, talent team construction, and scientific innovation progress in the field of mechanical engineering. He emphasized that the institute is at a critical stage of development with a significant demand for high-level talents. He cited his own full-time affiliation with Xiamen University as an example and warmly welcomed young talents from both domestic and international arenas to join the institute and contribute to its development blueprint.
During their stay in Singapore, the recruitment team visited the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NUS and the School of Computer Science and Engineering at NTU for academic exchanges. They also met with Dr. Zhang Baocai, who was visiting NUS and is about to join our institute, and Dr. Wu Binyun, who is currently on a visiting scholarship at NUS. The institute will expedite the follow-up work of this recruitment fair, conduct a rigorous screening of the resumes received, and organize interviews with the aim of attracting more outstanding overseas talents. The institute will continue to explore diverse forms and channels for recruiting overseas talents, to effectively implement a comprehensive strategy for "attracting, nurturing, utilizing, and retaining" talents. This will promote the development of a talent team across the entire chain, continuously strengthen the talent pool, and contribute to the construction of a high-standard faculty team, enhancing the institute's international influence.
