Our institute achieved outstanding results in the "2024 China College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition"

On August 25, 2024, the "2024 China College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition: 'Akashi Cup' Micro-Nano Sensing Technology and Intelligent Application Competition", the highest-level professional event for college students nationwide, concluded in the Yellow and Bohai Sea New Area of Yantai, Shandong, after a five-month duration. Our institute secured two second prizes in the undergraduate group and one first prize and four second prizes in the graduate group.

The "Akashi Cup" Micro-Nano Sensing Technology and Intelligent Application Competition has been held for five consecutive editions. The theme of the 2024 "Akashi Cup" China College Students Micro-Nano Competition is "Sensing the World, Creating the Future with Intelligence". Since its launch in March, a total of 714 teams from 160 universities and research institutes, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Xiamen University, Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, and Xi'an Jiaotong University, have registered for the competition. The official website of the event has received over 30,000 visits. Ultimately, 309 projects that won the first prize in the preliminary round advanced to the national finals. Among them, there were 152 projects in the graduate group, 151 in the undergraduate group, and 6 in the specialized group. A total of 183 teams eventually reached the "summit" of the Micro-Nano Sensing Technology and Intelligent Application Competition. Among them, there were 63 third prizes, 96 second prizes, and 24 first prizes. The project "High-Precision Non-Interfering Flexible Dual-Modal Temperature-Pressure Sensing" participated by students Zhang Chen, Wang Jincheng, Chen Rui, Ji Dongsheng, and Xu Wenjun, under the guidance of teachers Zhou Wei and Luo Tao, won the first prize in the graduate group. The project "Broadband, High-Sensitivity Flexible Tactile Sensing" participated by students Chen Pengfeng, Ma Zhihao, Gao Chao, Wen Diyun, and Mo Tingting, under the guidance of teacher Zhang Jinhui, won the second prize in the graduate group. The project "High-Precision MEMS Quartz Resonant Pressure Sensor" participated by students Zhang Xiaoyang, Wu Guirong, Wang Xinyue, Li Jiayi, and Wang Yinuo, under the guidance of teacher Gao Libo, and the project "Pulse Multi-Parameter Detection Wristband" participated by students Zhao Yunlong, Xiang Menghui, and Lei Yusheng, won the second prize in the graduate group. The project "High-Temperature Conformal, Ultra-Sensitive: Conformal Film Heat Flux Meter Resistant to 1300°C" participated by students Zhou Xiong, Xu Lida, Tang Lantian, Qian Xianwei, and Zhou Chenbu, under the guidance of teacher Wang Lingyun, won the second prize in the graduate group. In addition, the project "Design, Manufacturing, and Application of Conformal Film Sensors for Metal Blunt Bodies" guided by Sun Daoheng and the project "Laser Direct Writing High-Sensitivity Humidity Sensor for Non-Contact Breath Monitoring" guided by teacher Luo Tao both won the second prize in the undergraduate group.
